Shraddha Kapoor has been strung to represent the “icchadhari nagin“, a folk character seen in films like Sridevi’s 1986 film Nagina and his suite Nigahen: Nagina Part 2. Shraddha Kapoor made the big announcement in a tweet on Wednesday, writing: “It is an absolute pleasure for me to play a Nagin on screen. I grew up watching, admiring and idolizing Madam Sridevi. Nagina and Nigahen… “The project is like a dream experience come true for Shraddha, who added in his tweet:” … and always wanted to play a similar role rooted in traditional Indian folklore. “In the past, actresses Reena Roy and Rekha also portrayed”icchadhari nagin“on screen in the movie Nagin (1976).

Sharing updates on Shraddha Kapoor’s new project, business analyst Taran Adarsh said that Nagin will be produced as a trilogy. It will be directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Nikhil Dwivedi.

However, Shraddha did not share any details on when she will start the calendar of Nagin. Earlier this year, in an interview with ET, Shakti Kapoor had said that he was not going to let Shraddha start working for the moment for safety reasons: “I will not go out to work at this time, nor will I allow my daughter Shraddha to return to work. don’t think the threat is gone. I think the worst is yet to come. I won’t let my children go out just yet. I know that work is important but not at the cost of your life. It will be very chaotic if people start to turn now. “
Shraddha Kapoor is best known for starring in films such as Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, OK Jaanu, Half Girlfriend, Haseena Parkar, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Chhichhore and 3d street dancer among others. She was last seen Baaghi 3, which was released earlier this year ahead of the pandemic outbreak.
