Faridabad:
One of the three alleged collaborators of the gangster of Uttar Pradesh, Vikas Dubey, arrested by a team of the judicial police of the police of Haryana, tested positive for COVID-19, officials announced on Wednesday.
Haryana police arrested a son-in-law duo with a key partner of Vikas Dubey after a shooting in a raid on a house in Faridabad on information that they had been locked up there.
The Faridabad district prison authorities in Neemka informed the Haryana health department that one of the three defendants tested positive for the crown after the arrest, officials said.
As a result, according to the anti-COVID protocol, the infected accused was housed in a separate prison, they added.
The three accused arrested include co-villager Kartikey aka Prabhat from the UP UP Dubey gang and a father-son duo whose home in the Faridbad New Indira Complex in sector 87, they were arrested.
The father-son duo, identified as Shravan and his son Ankur, are both from Kakupur village below the Shivpur police station area in Kanpur, police said.
Kartikey is from the village of Dubey in Bikhru, in the Chaubeypur police station area of Kanpur, where eight police officers were killed last week in an ambush by thugs of the gangster.
After their arrest by the Haryana police team from the Crime Branch, the three were tested for COVID-19 and one of them was found positive.
