The match was won by Joginder Singh Awana, a former BSP MP.

Jaipur:

After a busy program with activities like yoga, cooking classes, Rajasthani Congressmen ended the day watching actor Aamir Khan’s blockbuster movie Lagaan. MPs take place in luxury hotel in Jaipur, as Congress faces daunting task of saving the government led by Ashok Gehlot from an open rebellion by its former pilot assistant Sachin and 18 of his followers,

Some members of the Gehlot team have played “Housie” – a board game whose main objective is to mark the numbers that have been called to make a winning model in the “house”.

The match was won by Joginder Singh Awana, one of six former BSP or Bahujan Samaj party deputies who joined Congress in September of last year, helping the Ashok Gehlot government consolidate its position within the assembly of Rajasthan.

Sources say the BSP could go to court to prevent MPs from voting with Congress amidst the troubles of the Rajasthan Congressional government and the intense race for numbers.

Meanwhile, Ashok Gehlot gathered support for two construction workers on Saturday, bolstering figures for his shaky government.

Losing two MPs would have depressed chief minister as Congress struggled to protect herd from Sachin Pilot rebel camp

In the 200-person house, Congress has 107 MPs, including the 19 dissidents who received challenge notices from the President and challenged them before the High Court. Congress has maintained the claim that the Gehlot government has the support of 109 deputies, including the two BTP deputies.
