Indore:
A flight carrying 145 Indians from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, landed at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport in Indore on Wednesday.
The flight carried a total of 146 passengers of which 145 came to Indore. They were all medical students who had traveled to Kyrgyzstan to study. A passenger was taken to Delhi.
Coronavirus Nodal Officer Dr Amit Malakar said that among the passengers who reached Indore, some are from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and other states.
“An Air India flight brought 145 passengers back to Indore. All passengers will be kept in paid institutional quarantine for seven days, then they will be quarantined at home for seven days. All have been checked by the Department of Health. from the airport, “he added.
Families had arrived in Indore to receive their children from the airport.
Speaking to ANI, Abdul Sattar, a resident of Bhopal said: “My two daughters are coming back after completing their MBBS. They visit us every year in June. They stayed at home for three months there.
“My daughter is currently in medical school, it’s been almost five years. She came in June of last year but due to the COVID-19 crisis she was unable to visit us this year but finally she is coming back today. Students, there is panic but now they are coming back, ”said Pradeep Kumar, a resident of Chhattisgarh.
The fifth phase of the Indian Government’s “Vande Bharat” mission, which aims to evacuate Indian nationals stranded in various foreign countries due to restrictions on air travel, will begin early next month on August 1.
The government launched the Vande Bharat mission on May 7. The mission is now in its fourth phase.
