Haryana’s Cooperation Minister Dr Banwari Lal said on Monday that adequate arrangements have been made to ensure that farmers and arhatiyas do not encounter any problems in selling and buying crops.

“Every grain from farmers will be purchased at the minimum support price set by the government,” Dr Banwari Lal said during the inspection of millet purchases at the Rewari grain market today. The Minister said that the agricultural acts are very beneficial for the farmers and the impact of these acts will be seen in the near future, ”read a statement from the state government.

“The minister said opposition leaders were misleading farmers about these farm laws, but state farmers are aware of this and they will not be misled by anyone,” the statement added.

Mr Lal said that after fulfilling the moisture content requirement of up to 12 percent, the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) would purchase 100 percent cotton from Haryana. Previously, only 25 percent of cotton was purchased by CCI, the statement said.

According to the statement, he ordered officers to make special arrangements to ensure that farmers do not encounter any problems when selling their crops.
