Unlock1: Government has made it easier to lock coronavirus

New Delhi:

Hours after the Interior Ministry issued guidelines to help block coronaviruses, the center wrote to the chief secretaries of all states to inform them of the changes. The center said shopping centers, hotels, restaurants and places of worship could open on June 8, except in containment areas.

The center said that EU states and territories cannot “water down the restrictions” mentioned in the guidelines, but may based on their assessment of the situation, stop or restrict certain activities in areas outside of containment areas.

“I urge you to ensure compliance with the new guidelines and to ask all authorities concerned to implement them strictly,” said Union Secretary General Ajay Bhalla in the letter.

The lockout has been extended in the containment areas until June 30. In a statement titled “Unlock 1” to indicate that the country – at least in commercial and economic activities – is slowly emerging from the coronavirus crisis, the government has declared that all services and activities except some such as thefts international and gymnasiums outside the containment zones will resume in phases.

“As mentioned in the guidelines, there will be a gradual reopening of activities in areas outside the containment areas, with the stipulation of the following standard operating procedures (SOPs) which will be prescribed by the Ministry of Health and Welfare family (MoHFW), “said Mr. Bhalla.

“I would specifically like to draw your attention to phase 2, concerning the reopening of schools, colleges, etc., where States and UT (Union territories) were invited to hold consultations at the level of the institution , with parents and other stakeholders. You are advised to send comments on the consultations held, so that a decision can be made in due course for the opening of educational institutions, “said Mr. Balla in the letter.

The government has said that schools, colleges, coaching centers and other educational institutions will be reopened after discussing the coronavirus situation with states and Union territories in July.

“The guidelines also state that there will be no restrictions on the movement of people between and between states. Therefore, no separate approval or electronic pass, etc. is required in this regard. However, if you want to regulate these movements, you have to advertise widely in advance, “the center said in the letter.

India reported the largest single-day increase in the number of new coronavirus patients and those who died due to highly infectious disease with 7,964 new cases and 265 deaths reported in the past 24 hours, This brings the total to 1,733,763 cases, according to data shared by the Ministry of Health this morning.

The country has registered 4,971 deaths since the start of the pandemic. To date, more than 80,000 patients have recovered. Of these, a record 11,264 patients have healed in the past 24 hours.
