Haryana’s BJP-JJP government will introduce a bill at Vidhan Sabha’s next session to reserve 50% of seats for women in Panchayati Raj institutions, Chief Deputy Minister Dushyant Chautala said Thursday.

Mr. Chautala, who is also Minister of Industries, Rural Development and Panchayats, said the state government has taken adequate measures to ensure maximum participation of women in PRI and in society.

“To give 50 percent reservation to the women of the panchayats, we will introduce a bill in the next session of Vidhan Sabha,” Mr. Chautala said at a press conference here in which he also insisted on the different stages of state government to make Haryana a preferred industrialist. destination.

The head of the JJP said that a “scooty” (two-wheeler) would be given to 100 women who have done remarkable work in the villages. The beneficiaries will include 30 Sarpanche women, 10 members of Zila Parishad, 20 members of Block Samitis as well as 40 other women associated with the PRI.

He also said the government would soon amend the relevant law to provide for the opening of non-cultivable plots of land of more than 500 acres under any Gram Panchayat for industrial development.

This will not only help the villages to generate income, but the industries will also prosper and create jobs.

Asked about the state government’s decision to temporarily stop the registration of land transfer deeds in the state, he said the government had encountered “loopholes” in the registration process that needed to be addressed. .

The new registration process being developed by the government would eliminate these loopholes, in addition to simplifying the whole process for the benefit of ordinary people, he said.

He said officials from the Revenue Department were “re-checking the loopholes”.

“When the registration process is simpler, it will benefit ordinary people and that is why we are digitizing the whole process. Within 24 hours they will receive all the details by email, ”he said.

He also said that in the registration process, “stamping over Rs 100 will be in electronic mode”.

Mr Chautala said at a recent State Cabinet meeting a proposal had been approved to bring about an ordinance to reserve 75 percent of private sector jobs in Haryana for local applicants.

The government had also agreed to amend the Labor Disputes Act of 1947 and the Factories Act of 1948 to provide some relief to industries and factories amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said the state’s new industrial policy, “Haryana-2020 Business Promotion Policy”, would be announced next month.

Promising a pleasant industrial climate for investors, Mr. Chautala said the state intends to lead by next year in the “Ease of Doing Business” ranking, moving up a scale to from its current second place.

He said the current BJP-JJP exemption has taken several steps to ensure an atmosphere conducive to investors wishing to invest in Haryana.

With the government promoting the establishment of industrial clusters in the 22 districts, he said, “We will have industrial clusters depending on the strength of a particular area in a particular industry.”

Responding to a question, he said the government had enough land reserves and nearly 17,000 acres were available.

Asked if companies like Maruti Suzuki were looking for expansion in the state, Chautala said the government was discussing with them what more it could offer them in this regard.

The government can look into any business need for land near their existing facilities in Gurgaon district for expansion, he added.

He said Haryana could become a computer hub like what Greater Noida has become for mobile phones.

Turning to another matter, he said the expansion of the road network in eight districts of the state has been approved and 83 roads will be built at a cost of Rs 383.58 crore by December.

These districts are Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Jind, Karnal, Mewat, Rohtak, Sirsa and Yamunanagar, he said.

He also said that more than 200 tons of plastic waste will be collected by Panchayat Department and handed over to people with disabilities for road construction under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana.

On the occasion of the Baroda assembly in Sonipat, the dates of which have not yet been announced, Mr. Chautala declared that the JJP and its ally the BJP will jointly fight against the elections and that the decision concerning the candidate will be taken at the appropriate time.

Mr Chautala also criticized Congress for allegedly trying to deceive farmers on three agricultural sector ordinances recently issued by the Center.
