Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the fight against the coronavirus pandemic requires “discipline and harmony”.

New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Monday that the fight against the coronavirus pandemic needs “discipline and harmony”, just as it is necessary in music.

The Prime Minister made his remarks during a speech organized by the cultural group Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture.

The Prime Minister said that even under these trying circumstances, the musicians were not discouraged and that the theme of the convention was focused on how to relieve the stress of young people due to the COVID -19 pandemic.

He said that poets, singers and artists have always written songs and music to bring out the value of the people in these times.

“Even now, in these difficult times when the world is fighting against an invisible enemy, the singers, lyricists and artists are lines of script and songs that would increase people’s confidence,” said PM Modi.

The Prime Minister recalled how 130 crores of locals gathered to cheer, ring bells, detonate conch shell to energize the whole nation in its fight against the pandemic.

“When 130 crore of people come together with the same feelings and emotions, it becomes music,” he said.

“Just as there is a need for harmony and discipline in music, there is a need for harmony, restraint and similar discipline of each citizen to fight against the corona pandemic,” he said. added.

Building on “Naad Yoga,” he said in India, Naad is considered the basis of music and also the basis of energy per se. He said that this Naad reaches its crescendo or Brahmnaad when “we regulate our inner energy through yoga and music”.

This is the reason why music and yoga both have a power of meditation and motivation, both are immense sources of energy, said the Prime Minister.

He said that music was not only a source of happiness but also a means of service and a form of penance. “There have been many great musicians in our country who have lived all their lives to serve humanity,” said the Prime Minister.
