Noida:

A 45-year-old man died after the car in which he was traveling with his family from Delhi to Madhya Pradesh on the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida was crushed early this morning, police said.

The vehicle was driven by a drowsy driver, which caused the accident, police said.

Netramani Tripathi, his wife, 14-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son were on their way to their place of origin in the Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. The five are residents of Rana Pratap Bagh in Delhi.

They were on the Yamuna highway in the Dankaur region, in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, when the Maruti Brezza hit the separator on the road and overturned at around 2 a.m., announced the police.

The five, including driver Narendra Shukla, were taken to a nearby hospital, where Netramani Tripathi died of injuries, the spokesman said.
