COVID-19: pandemic killed at least 473,475 people worldwide (representation)

New Delhi:

Delhi on Wednesday registered 3,788 new cases of coronavirus, increasing the city’s death toll to more than 70,000 and the number of deaths due to the disease to 2,365.

With that, the national capital replaced Mumbai to become the most affected city in the country, reported the PTI news agency. Mumbai’s COVID-19 count on Wednesday was 69,625.

India has so far registered 4.56,183 lakh cases, including 14,476 deaths.

The pandemic has killed at least 473,475 people worldwide since its onset in China late last year, according to an AFP count.

The United States has the most deaths with 120,913, followed by Brazil with 51,271, Great Britain with 42,927, Italy with 34,675 and France with 29,720.

Coronavirus: Bihar registers 223 new cases of COVID-19

No fewer than 223 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Wednesday in Bihar, bringing the number to 8,273, while the death toll rose to 55, the state health department said.

According to the daily bulletin published by the health department, the last victim was reported in the district of Patna.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Patna rose to 485 from 451 on Tuesday, PTI reported.

Coronavirus News: 490 New Haryana Coronavirus Cases

A total of 490 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in Haryana on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 12,010.

According to the Haryana health department, 6,925 people have recovered / released to date and the total number of deaths has risen to 188.

With the highest single-day peak of 15,968 cases reported in the past 24 hours, the number of COVID-19 in India reached 4.56,183 on Wednesday, ANI reported.
