New Delhi:
Russia has invited Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to attend a grand military parade in Moscow on June 24 marking the 75th anniversary of the Soviet victory in World War II, diplomatic sources said.
We learn that despite the escalating tensions between Indian and Chinese troops in eastern Ladakh, the office of the Minister of Defense positively considers the invitation because of India’s military ties for decades with Russia.
The defense minister’s office welcomes the invitation, the sources said.
India is sending a contingent of three services to participate in the military parade in Red Square in Moscow. The Indian parade will be led by an officer of the rank of colonel.
The 75-member Indian team will participate in the parade alongside members of the armed forces from at least 11 countries, including China.
