Deepika Padukone, who starred in two of Imtiaz Ali movies (I love Aaj Kal and Tamasha), shared a throwback photo with the filmmaker from the 2009 film Likes Aaj Kal, who totaled 11 on Friday. The photo appears to have been taken in a subway. In the perfect setting, Deepika Padukone aka Meera can be seen smiling as she watches the director of her film. She captioned the post: “Eyes say it all … Meera. 11 years old Likes Aaj KalDeepika Padukone also changed her Instagram handle to Meera (the name of her character in the movie).

Imtiaz Ali Likes Aaj Kal presents two parallel love stories separated by time. Earlier this year, Imtiaz Ali completed the second installment of Likes Aaj Kal with the same name. The film starred Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Arushi Sharma, and Randeep Hooda (in a cameo appearance). The film did not perform well at the box office.
