COVID patients left UP hospital after the facility videos went viral.

Ballia (UP):

A few days after videos of two coronavirus patients complaining about the inadequacy of facilities at Ballia’s public hospitals in Uttar Pradesh went viral, the district administration plans to move the duo to Azamgarh.

In a video, a COVID-19 patient can be heard to say that he has an intense cough and breathing difficulties, but he is not receiving treatment at the public hospital.

The patient, an employee of the State Bank of India, also said that no doctor came to see the patients and that no medicine was available at the hospital.

Another patient admitted to an L 1 public hospital in the Revti district of the district, in a video, said he was admitted to the facility on July 2. He regrets that there is no drinking water and that the bathrooms and toilets of the hospital are dirty.

Reacting to the problem, district magistrate Hari Pratap Shahi said on Sunday that the two patients would be transferred to an L 2 hospital in Azamgarh.

He also added that a chief doctor went to L 1 hospital on Saturday to investigate the allegations, but found the charges laid by the patient to be unfounded.
