All persons wishing to meet with the governor of Himachal Pradesh, Bandaru Dattatreya, must wear a COVID-19 negative test report, according to an order issued by Raj Bhavan.
“Himachal Pradesh Raj Bhavan has issued an order asking visitors to Raj Bhavan to meet with the governor to obtain a COVID-19 negative test report,” said Rakesh Kanwar, secretary to the governor.
Meanwhile, the Sirmaur district administration imposed a curfew in Nahan city on Saturday until 7 a.m. on July 21 due to the increase in COVID-19 cases.
According to the order issued by the district magistrate’s office (DM), all stores, except pharmacies and liquor stores, will remain closed during the period.
However, all government offices and banks will remain open during the period. The DM also ordered sanitation to be carried out throughout the area of the city of Nahan.
The number of COVID-19 cases in Himachal Pradesh rose to 1,457 on Saturday.
This includes 401 active cases, according to the State Department of Health. So far, nine deaths have been reported in the state due to a coronavirus.
