Coronavirus: India reported 78,524 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the total to 68.35 lakh. The country has recorded 971 deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,055,526.

With more than 75,000 people recovering from COVID-19 every day in India, the country’s recoveries are 6.3 times greater than active cases of coronavirus, according to the Department of Health and Family Welfare. The country has seen an exponential increase in the number of COVID-19 recoveries, from 50,000 recoveries in May to more than 57 lakh in October.

“COVID recoveries in India have increased exponentially – from 50,000 in May to over 57 lakh in October. A high level of over 75,000 recoveries reported every day. The recoveries represent 6.3 times the active cases (currently only 13.4% of the total number of cases.) ”, Tweeted the ministry.
