New Delhi:
“Not at all funny,” said several comments on actor Rohit Roy’s post, featuring a joke on Rajinikanth with a casual reference to COVID-19 and the pandemic. Earlier this week, Rohit Roy shared an Instagram post, which he later justified as a “typical Rajini” joke, which said that the 69-year-old megastar “had tested positive for corona. Corona is now in quarantine”. The purpose of Rohit’s post was to encourage people to “beat the crap out of the crown” but it didn’t work too well with his Instafam. Internet users angry at Rohit Roy for joking about pandemic, especially to train Rajinikanth there. “Shame on you,” said one comment when another angry Internet user wrote, “This is a very, very, very bad joke.” Comments such as “Not at all appreciated”, “The first line of the photo made me jump”, “It’s not even close to being funny”, “It’s so insensitive to the name of a joke “flooded his post. A user summed up the sentiment on Instagram and wrote, “If it’s a joke, then it is in bad taste.”
Reacting to the barrage of comments, Rohit Roy justified his post with a comment: “Guys relax … don’t be so moody! A joke is a joke and sorry, I don’t think it’s in bad taste. C “is a typical Rajni sir joke and my intention was to make you smile. Look at the intention before you start commenting. At least I did not make a joke to hurt you all as you are all deliberately posting messages to me hurt. “
