India has reported 86,508 new cases of Covid in the past 24 hours, taking its coronavirus tally beyond 57 lakh mark, Health Ministry COVID-19 data shows; the country reported 1,129 deaths during this period.
With 87,374 people battling COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, the total number of recoveries remained above the number of new infections for the sixth consecutive day, the data showed. Total coronavirus recoveries now stand at 46,74,987. The overall collection rate in the country has exceeded 81%.
