Police overpowered a man in the French capital Paris on Friday when he threatened officers with two knives after challenging him, a police source said.
Police responded after police received a call that a man armed with a knife was knocking on his neighbor’s door in a southwestern neighborhood of the city.
Police confronted the man in the building’s yard and used a Taser and rubber bullets to subdue him, the source said. No one else was injured.
The incident occurred a day after three people were killed in a knife attack in the south-eastern city of Nice. The motive for this incident was not immediately clear.
