Louisville:

A police officer was shot dead in Louisville, Kentucky, during protests there against a grand jury ruling in the Breonna Taylor case, the FBI said on Wednesday.

“The Louisville FBI SWAT team has responded to a downed LMPD officer and will continue to assist with the investigation,” the FBI Louisville office said on Twitter.

It was not immediately clear whether the shooting was linked to the protests, which erupted after the grand jury refused to indict two white police officers in Taylor’s shooting death.

A third officer has been charged with endangering Taylor’s neighbors.
