Chennai:
A 39-year-old man was arrested for allegedly killing his wife and son by setting them on fire after an argument, police said on Sunday.
Her minor daughter, who also suffered burns during the incident, is being treated, police said in a statement on Sunday.
Police said Maqbool Ali Sathar argued with his wife last week, after which he poured gasoline and two children, aged 21 and 14, and set them on fire before fleeing.
The three were admitted to a hospital where the wife and son of the accused died, police said.
A file was recorded and the police were looking for the accused and a special team arrested him yesterday in the same locality.
He was then placed in pre-trial detention, police said.
