New Delhi:
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the Center digitally launched a web solution for the healthcare supply chain portal “ Aarogyapath ” to provide real-time availability of essential supplies for manufacturers, suppliers and customers.
The Scientific and Industrial Research Council (CSIR) launched the portal on June 12.
According to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the integrated public platform can help customers solve a number of common problems such as dependence on limited suppliers, lengthy processes to identify products good quality, limited access to suppliers, etc.
It will also help manufacturers and suppliers to effectively reach customers like nearby pathology labs, medical stores, hospitals, etc.
The CSIR expects the portal to fill a critical gap in the provision of last-mile patient care in India through improved availability and affordability of health care supplies.
It will also create opportunities for business expansion due to an expanded list of buyers and the visibility of new product requirements.
According to the latest data from the Union’s Ministry of Health, India has had its highest peak of 11,458 cases, bringing the total to 3,088,993 in the country so far.
