The allocation of Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s portfolio will be made shortly after his return to the state.

Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met with Union ministers Rajnath Singh and Ram Vilas Paswan on Sunday and said that portfolio allocation in his recently expanded cabinet will take place soon after he returns to the country. State.

“The cabinet’s expansion has taken place in Madhya Pradesh. The portfolios will be allocated after I arrive in Bhopal,” Chouhan told reporters after meeting with the defense minister.

The chief minister also published a tweet indicating that he had raised a request, before Mr. Singh, to open a military school in the Gwalior-Chambal region to help young people realize their wish to join the armed forces.

Later, Mr. Chouhan met and wished Union Minister Paswan his birthday and discussed issues related to his state with him.

“Last year 73 lakh metric tonnes of wheat were purchased in Madhya Pradesh, of which 67 lakh metric tonnes were taken from the central pool while the rest was not yet taken. I asked the minister Union to take action in this regard so that the state government receives funding during this COVID-19 phase, “Chouhan told reporters.

He stated that the Minister of the Union had accepted his request and had immediately issued orders on it. Chouhan added that under the “One Nation, One Ration card system”, even migrant workers from the state will benefit from programs run by the Center to provide them with grain.

“Madhya Pradesh broke all records this time, it even exceeded Punjab. 1 crore of 29 lakh metric ton of wheat was brought to the minimum support price (MSP) this time in MP. It will go to the central pool , I thank PM Narendra Modi and Paswanji for that, “he added.

He also said he will meet with BJP vice-president, president and chief executive officer LK Advani tomorrow.

Chouhan held the first cabinet meeting in Bhopal on July 2 after 28 ministers were inducted into his cabinet.

This is the second cabinet expansion since the chief minister returned to head of state affairs on March 23. He had previously inducted only five ministers into cabinet in April.
