Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Sunday India’s National Roads Authority gave its final nod for the eastern bypass of Karnal, which will be built at Rs 1300 crore, to relieve congestion. city.

The bypass will be 35 kilometers long and 7 kilometers wide. It will start from GT Road, covering the area between Madhuban and Kutel in Karnal, and connect to the village of Jhanjhari.

Mr Khattar said the bypass would also facilitate connectivity to neighboring villages.

The Chief Minister was addressing the assembly at a function held at Deenbandhu Chaudhary Chhotu Ram Namastey Chowk in the town of Karnal.

He said that Karnal is developing as a smart city and that an amount of Rs 1000 crore will be spent to achieve this goal. So far, development work worth Rs 350 crore is underway under the Smart City project, said Mr Khattar, who is the MP for Karnal.
