Patna, Bihar:
Nitish Kumar is set to be sworn in as chief minister for the fourth consecutive term, but this time he will likely have two MPs from the BJP ally instead of one, according to sources.
The decision was made during an overnight meeting between Nitish Kumar and senior leaders of the BJP in Bihar.
Sources say Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi are likely to be the chief minister’s new deputies.
Sushil Kumar Modi had been Nitish Kumar’s deputy senior minister since 2005, except for the time the senior minister formed government with the RJD and Congress.
When Nitish Kumar abandoned the alliance and resurrected his ties with the BJP, Sushil Kumar Modi again took over as number two.
