Firozabad (Uttar Pradesh):
Bharatiya Janata party leader DK Gupta was gunned down by three men who were transported by bicycle to Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh on Friday evening, according to Chief Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sachindra Patel.
DK Gupta was leaving after closing his store when the attack took place on him.
Residents claimed the victim was a BJP leader
“Mr. Gupta was leaving after closing his store when three bicycle attackers opened fire on him,” Patel told reporters.
Family members, according to the police official, had tried to take the victim to Agra after the incident, but he could not be saved.
“Family members have given the names of some suspects the victim has had issues with. We will investigate and arrest them shortly,” Patel said.
Other investigations are in progress.
