Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on Sunday gheraoed Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi outside the party office about the Lakhisarai constituency candidate.
All workers displaying BJP flags surrounded the minister’s vehicle and blocked the road. Modi later left with the help of the local police.
Party workers claimed incumbent MP Vijay Kumar Sinha had been insulting workers for 10 years and lending money to relatives.
“Vijay Kumar Sinha has been insulting workers for 10 years and he sends his relatives to every government meeting and lends them money. We demand that the candidate be local and that Kumari Babita, who has worked with us for 25 years, become a candidate. .for the MP for Lakhisarai constituency, ”BJP member Kanahiya Kumar told ANI.
Elections in Bihar will take place in three phases on October 28 and November 3 and 7. The counting of the votes will take place on November 10.
