Accusing West Bengal’s chief minister Mamata Banerjee for trying to confuse people by contradicting his own statement by calling Shramik special trains “Corona Express”, BJP state president Dilip Ghosh said on Wednesday that ‘she does not think before saying anything or thinks after saying the words.
One day after Interior Minister Amit Shah claimed at a virtual rally that she was calling trains carrying migrant workers stranded at home “Corona Express”, Banerjee denied saying it and insisted that the name be given by people at full capacity. the trains.
“I ask the chief minister to think before making a statement,” said Mr. Ghosh.
He said that the chief congressman of Trinamool had previously denied having set up a death audit committee to verify whether a COVID-19 patient had actually died because of the illness or for some other reason.
“Amit Shah’s virtual rally on Tuesday shook the leadership of the TMC,” said the president of the BJP.
He also accused the chief minister of personal attacks on Amit Shah and claimed that state ministers were distributing unsupported figures regarding expenses incurred for holding Mr. Shah’s virtual rallies.
Ghosh alleged that the TMC government abused the police force and punished competent officers, causing unrest among the police.
The BJP MP also alleged that the central government laboratory NICED, which has the best expertise in COVID-19 testing, was deliberately receiving fewer samples.
He said that while NICED has tested about 29,500 samples so far, SSKM public hospitals have tested more than 32,000 and the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital more than 39,000 samples.
Ghosh alleged that political conflicts had started again in different parts of West Bengal and that faction fighting between activists from the Trinamool Congress was taking place. “In the Coochbehar district, BJP workers were attacked in Mathabhanga and Tufanganj,” he said.
He claimed that the state government had not used the crore Rs 834.97 given to him by the Center for the construction of village roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
The central funds were not used in the education sector and water supply projects, said the BJP MP.
