As Rajasthan congressmen protested Governor Kalraj Mishra in Raj Bhawan, the BJP on Thursday urged the Center to deploy the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to protect the sanctity of the “constitutional post”.
He said protesting MPs should be “kicked out” from Raj Bhawan.
Speaking to the media, BJP Head of State Gulab Chand Kataria said: “I urge the central government not to leave law and order in the hands of the Rajasthan police and to deploy the CRPF here so that the sanctity of this constitutional position is respected. “
Demanding the use of all legal remedies, he added, “Those who demonstrate at Raj Bhawan should be kicked out and all legal remedies should be used for it.”
“The way you protested against Raj Bhavan and the kind of slogans that have been raised, I think no other CM can do something as reprehensible as this. The nation and the legal community should consider the statement of the CM that people are going to do Raj Bhawan’s “gherao”, ”he added.
Earlier today, Congressmen supporting CM Ashok Gehlot raised slogans at Raj Bhawan after allegations the governor denied calling the session of the State Assembly due to the COVID pandemic. 19.
“If the media reports that the governor declares that the session of the State Assembly cannot be conducted due to COVID-19, we are ready to carry out COVID-19 tests on 200 deputies,” said Raghu Sharma, Minister of Rajasthan and Head of Congress.
