Srinagar:
Hours after People’s Democratic Party leader Mehooba Mufti spoke at her first press conference since her release from 14 months of detention, the BJP accused her on Friday of making “seditious remarks” . “We will only hoist the national flag after our national flag returns. The national flag is here only because of this flag and this constitution (of Jammu and Kashmir). We are linked to the rest of the country because of this flag, ”Ms. Mufti, former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, said on Friday, drawing criticism from BJP and Congress.
Hitting PDP chairman over the comments, J&K BJP chairman Ravinder Raina told reporters: “I ask Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to take note of Mehbooba Mufti’s seditious remarks, to reserve it for the act. seditious and put her behind bars “.
“We will sacrifice every drop of our blood for our flag, our country and our homeland. Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of our country, so only one flag can be hoisted … and that is the national flag,” did he declare. PTI agency reported.
Regarding the centre’s decision last year to remove the special status of J&K last year, he said no decision made by the government could be reversed. “I warn leaders like Mehbooba Mufti not to incite the people of Kashmir. We will not allow anyone to disturb the peace, normality and brotherhood. If there is a problem, she will have to suffer the consequences,” added the head of J&K BJP.
