BJP chairman Jagat Prakash Nadda on Saturday expressed confidence that the NDA would get a two-thirds majority in Bihar assembly polls and said that even if the BJP won more seats, “Nitish Kumar will always be our leader.
“It is clear that the BJP-JDU-HAM-VIP will form a government with a clear two-thirds majority so there is no question of fewer seats. Even if we get more seats, Nitish Kumarji will always be our leader, ”Nadda told ANI.
Nadda also criticized in Congress past comments by its leaders, including Rahul Gandhi “who profited the most from the (Pulwama) attack,” remarks made earlier this year. Mr Nadda said Congress has “become Pakistan’s mouthpiece today”.
The BJP leader’s remarks came after a Pakistani minister admitted that his country was responsible for the Pulwama terrorist attack in which 40 CRPF members were killed.
Mr. Nadda said people knew RJD’s character was “jungle raj“.
“And now they have joined the destructive party of CPI-ML and Congress which has today become Pakistan’s spokesperson. The people of Bihar will give them an answer,” Nadda said.
He said people remember Lalu Yadav’s “bad governance” and Nitish Kumar’s “good governance” and they want development.
“People want to enter the era of LED under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar of the era of lanterns (electoral symbol of the RJD). They want the development of the state,” Nadda said. .
He called RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav “yuvraj of jungle raj“And accused the party of having led the state by” suppressing the inhabitants of Bihar “.
Mr. Nadda asked RJD for an apology for “having scared the state”.
“RJD is the same party that led by suppressing the people of Bihar and people fully recognize that yuvraj of jungle raj. Will they provide 10 lakh jobs? They drove 20 lakh from the state. They should apologize first, ”Nadda told ANI.
Mr Nadda asked why Yadav did not include the faces of his parents Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi in his party’s election posters.
“Because he knows that the people of Bihar are very much aware of the character of RJD,” he said.
The first phase of Bihar’s 71-seat elections took place on October 28. The remaining 172 constituencies of the 243-member assembly will go to the polls on November 3-7. The results will be announced on November 10.
