Bengal extends lockout until July 31, schools and colleges will remain closed

Kolkata:

Bengal extended the coronavirus lockout until July 31. The current state foreclosure phase is scheduled to end on June 30.

The extended lockout covers schools and colleges. There will also be no train and metro services during the extended lockout period.

Bengal currently has 14,728 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 580 deaths linked to the virus. There are 9,218 active cases in the state.
