A 30-year-old television actress has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau after she was allegedly caught buying drugs in Mumbai, an official said on Monday.
Acting on a whistleblower, NCB officials arrested the actor as she was receiving ganja from a person in Andheri on Saturday.
The anti-drug agency seized 99 g of ganja in their possession, the official said.
The actress and the drug supplier, identified as Faisal (20), were subsequently arrested, he said.
During their interrogation, it emerged that the drugs seized were from a Deepak Rathaur, who was also later arrested, the official said.
A case has been registered against all the defendants under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), he said, adding that the PNE was investigating the case.
