The government of Assam has issued guidelines for activities permitted in the state that will take effect from 7 p.m. on Sunday and will remain in effect until 7 p.m. on August 14.
Travel between districts is only permitted on Monday and Tuesday. No separate electronic authorization / approval / permit will be required.
Shopping malls and gymnasiums are permitted to operate Monday through Friday on the same side of the street where other stores are permitted in the Kamrup metropolitan district and on both sides in the case of all other districts.
Movement of people strictly prohibited between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
“ After having duly taken into account the COVID situation as it prevails in the State of Assam and taking into account the latest directives issued by the Union Ministry of the Interior dated July 29, 2020, The following modifications to the decree of July 18, 2020 are authorized throughout the State of Assam: This decree will come into force from 7 p.m. on August 2, 2020 and will remain valid until 7 p.m. on August 14, 2020 ” , we read in the order of the government of Assam.
The guidelines state that all permitted activities mentioned in our previous orders will continue to be permitted between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. between Monday and Friday, subject to opening only on one side of the street.
Shopping malls and gymnasiums are allowed to operate Monday through Friday on the same side of the street as other stores are allowed in the metropolitan district of Kamrup and on both sides in the case of all other districts.
Restaurants and other hospitality services are allowed to operate every day except Saturday and Sunday with the maintenance of the COVID social distancing protocol.
According to the guidelines, hotels are allowed to operate with strict maintenance of COVID protocols. Movement of people between districts is only permitted on Monday and Tuesday. No separate electronic authorization / approval / authorization will be required for inter-district travel.
All central and state government offices including banks, insurance companies, NBFCs, etc. will operate with 100% participation, except for pregnant women. Point-to-point buses will be operated for staff.
Non-contact sports in an open space with social distancing are allowed. VIII. Movie theaters, swimming pools, amusement parks, theaters, bars, auditoriums, meeting rooms and similar places of public gathering remain closed;
Social / political / sports / entertainment / academic / religious functions and other large congregations will remain closed.
No movement of individuals will be permitted on Saturdays and Sundays at any time throughout the state. People over 65 and children under ten are advised to stay indoors, except for unavoidable health reasons. Wearing a face mask is compulsory in public places, in the workplace and during transport.
