The Indian army has changed its statement on the confrontation between Indian and Chinese soldiers, resulting in the death of three members of the army, and now says that “the victims suffered on both sides” during a “violent confrontation” during de-escalation. with China in the Galwan Valley, Ladakh.
According to the Indian army, the confrontation took place Monday evening.
“The loss of life on the Indian side includes an officer and two soldiers,” the military said in a statement and added that senior military officials from both sides were currently meeting to defuse the situation.

Earlier, seeking to resolve the dispute over Chinese military strengthening, India and China were holding talks in eastern Ladakh.
Army sources said there had been a disengagement between Indian and Chinese troops in more places where they had been blocked for several weeks now.
Sources also said that after the June 6 talks between military commanders followed by other rounds of talks, there has been no significant strengthening activity on the part of the two sides, and Chinese aggressive behavior has also been mitigated.
No incidents of confrontation between the troops of the two sides were reported after the start of talks between the two armies, sources said.
