Taapsee Pannu, in his long note for Amrita Singh, wrote: “This photo I clicked on while we were shooting for the interval sequence of Badla. First day of filming with the fierce Amrita Singh. I don’t know if it was the Sardarni in me or the unrestrained lifestyle that connected us and it’s so cool to see her so excited and nervous to approach her scenes like a beginner wanting to do her best and listen to the director with the intention of doing his best. One of the rare actors who has a very nonchalant depth in his performance. I would have loved to click on a photo with her that day but she was too busy repeating it bhaari lines when I didn’t have much to say in the scene and I didn’t want to disturb it. “
