Interior Minister Amit Shah congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday for several “landmark decisions” by the Union cabinet which he said were “another manifestation” of the central government’s commitment towards self-sufficiency, the well-being of the poor and strengthening the economy in these difficult times.
In a series of tweets, Shah said to further strengthen the Modi government’s efforts towards an “ Atmanirbhar Bharat ” (self-governing India), the union’s cabinet approved the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund worth 15,000 crores rupees.
“This huge boost to the dairy sector will surely boost employment, increase dairy productivity and exports,” he said.
The Interior Minister said that private sector participation in space research activities had also been approved by the Modi government and that this historic reform would unleash India’s true space potential.
“IN-SPACe will accelerate the growth of the space sector by promoting and guiding private industries in space activities,” he said.
Shah said that to alleviate the financial stress of Shishu borrowers under Mudra Yojana, the union cabinet approved a 2% interest subsidy for a 12-month period for eligible borrowers.
“This will bring enormous relief to the small businesses that have been affected by Covid,” he said.
The Interior Minister said the cabinet also approved an order to place 1,482 urban cooperatives and 58 multi-state cooperative banks under the supervision of the Reserve Bank of India, which will provide reassurance to bank depositors and strengthen their confidence in the formal banking system. system by protecting their hard-earned money.
