Tragedy was averted this afternoon at Kalyan Station in Maharashtra when Dilip Bhikan Mandge, 52, jumped from a moving train and was rescued from a crash under its wheels by police officers. security alerts. Dilip Mandge, with his son, was to board the Kamyani Express today to UP from Kalyan in Maharashtra. The two were on their way to Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh.

CCTV footage captured Mr Mandge and his son jumping off the train with their luggage. As his son managed to land on the platform safely, Mr Mandge, who latched onto the side bar of the train door, apparently lost control and was dragged by the train.
Somnath Mahajan, a staff member of the Maharashtra Security Force and K Sahu, an officer of the Sub-Inspector’s Protection Force (SIPF), who were present at the scene, immediately rushed to ask for help.
The footage also shows one of the security officials talking animatedly to Mr Mandge while showing the moving train.
The passenger suffered minor injuries and is stable, officials said, adding that he refused any medical assistance and thanked the railway police for their timely intervention and assistance.
