Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was taken to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai for treatment for COVID-19, reports the ANI news agency. The 46-year-old actress tested positive a few days ago and was placed in segregation at the Bachchan Jalsa residence, which has been sealed by the Brihanmumbai Corporation or BMC, as have the three other family-owned bungalows.
Amitabh Bachchan’s stepfather and Hishiswarya Rai Bachchan’s husband, Abhishek, are also in Nanavati hospital. They tested positive last week. Eishwarya and Abhishek’s eight-year-old daughter also has COVID-19.
Amitabh Bachchan’s wife Jaya has tested negative for the virus.
