Actor Aftab Shivdasani, who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 earlier this month, recovered and tested negative recently. Aftab, who had previously spoken of contracting the virus on social media, shared the news of his recovery on Tuesday – he is “happy and relieved”: “I am very happy and relieved to share with all of you that I have made my Testing for Covid again and by the grace of God the reports were negative. Thank you all for your support and good wishes. “Citing his example, Aftab stressed the importance of practicing social distancing and taking action appropriate precautionary measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus. “I once again humbly ask and reiterate the importance of maintaining social distancing, using masks and disinfectants until the pandemic is over,” reads an excerpt from Aftab’s post.

On September 11, Aftab wrote that he decided to get checked out after developing symptoms of COVID-19. “Unfortunately, the results were positive and under the medical supervision of doctors and authorities, I was advised to quarantine at home.” Aftab, who had been working the past few weeks, also urged those nearby to get checked: “I ask anyone who was able to contact me recently to get tested to be sure. Support and good wishes, I will be soon recover and return to normal. “
Before his COVID-19 diagnosis, Aftab Shivdasani had just completed the filming schedule for the ZEE5 web series Poison 2. He is best known for appearing in films such as Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3, 1920: Evil returns, life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee, Awara Paagal Deewana, Kasoor and Mast. Aftab Shivdasani married Nin Dusanj in 2014. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in August.
