Miya George’s latest Instagram post calls for congratulations. The Malayalam actress recently got engaged to businessman Ashwin Philip and shared the big news on social media on Tuesday. Miya’s discreet engagement ceremony was said to have taken place at Ashwin Philip’s residence in Kerala in the presence of only family members. Share the photos with his fiance, the Memories the actress wrote: “Thank you for all the love and the prayers.” Miya fans and supporters flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages in no time. For her special day, the actress opted for a pastel Anarkali shelves from Label’M. She accentuated her look with a trendy necklace and subtle earrings, while her fiancé completed it with a white shirt and blue pants. We also saw Miya’s engagement ring on the photo. The 28-year-old actress is said to have married in September.

Miya George starred in TV shows like Kunjali Marakkar and Alphonsamma. She entered the Malayalam film industry by playing in short roles in films like Ee Adutha Kaalathu and Doctor Love. Miya made her debut in the Tamil film industry in 2014 with the romantic drama Amara Kaviyam. She later appeared in movies like Red wine, souvenirs, Vishudhan and Mr. Fraud.
Miya will then be seen in a Tamil film called Cobra, with Vikram. The thriller will be directed by R Ajay Gnanamuthu and it will also star Srinidhi Shetty and Irfan Pathan. Miya’s next project also includes a Malayalam film named Kanmanilla.
