AirAsia plane with 173 migrants arrived at Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun (representation)

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood sent 173 migrants on a charter flight from Mumbai to Dehradun on Friday.
The AirAsia plane with 173 migrants arrived at Jolly Grant airport tonight, said police officer Shanti Chamoli.
Buses from the 13 districts of Uttarakhand were parked in front of the airport to take the migrants to their respective destinations.
It was the second time in less than a month that Mr. Sood had sent migrants on a chartered flight from Mumbai to Dehradun.
Earlier this month, Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat thanked him for his kind gesture and invited him to visit the state after the COVID-19 crisis ended.
