Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan, who made her directorial debut last year, in her latest Instagram entry, revealed that she has been “clinically depressed” for over four years. On World Mental Health Day (October 10), Ira Khan shared a video in which she opened up about her battle for mental health. Ira started the video by saying, “Hi, I’m depressed. It’s been over four years now. I went to a doctor and I’m clinically depressed. I’m doing a lot better now. For over a year now, I wanted to do something for mental health, but I didn’t know what to do. “Ira recalled her personal struggle with depression and added in the video:” I decided to take you on a trip – my trip – and see what happens. I hope we get to know each other and understand mental illness a little better. I’ve thought of so many things to say. What should I say? Why am I do this? “
Ira signed off on the video saying, “Let’s start where I started. What do I have to be depressed about? Who am I to be depressed? I have it all, haven’t I?”
Ira Khan post calls to start a conversation about mental health. She wrote in her caption: “There’s a lot going on, a lot of people have a lot to say.
