Seventy-eight segments of the Bihar Assembly Assembly, made up of 243 members, vote in the third and final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, in which the stakes are high enough for the minister in Chief Nitish Kumar, who faces several rivals, including former ally Chirag Paswan.
7.70 percent of the 2.34 crore voters cast their ballot until 9 a.m. The daughter of Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) leader Sharad Yadav, Subhashini Raj Rao, who appears on a Congress ticket, was among the early voters. Subhashini Rao is among 1,204 candidates, including the outgoing Speaker of the Bihar Assembly and 12 members of the state cabinet, vying for this phase. The counting of the votes is scheduled for November 10.
In addition, a ballot will also be held for the seat of Valmiki Nagar Lok Sabha where a by-election has been made necessary by the death of MP JD (U) Baidyanath Mahato.
In the 2015 polls, JD (U) and BJP won 43 of those 78 seats, while the RJD-Congress combined 31 seats in the third phase.

The third and final phase of the Bihar Assembly polls will confirm today that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will never again be chief minister, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Chairman Chirag Paswan said on Saturday.
“I worked in the field, working hard for the party on my own. One thing is clear, both phases have confirmed this thing and the third phase will put a definitive stamp on it, that Nitish Kumar will never again become the chief minister. .
BJP President J P Nadda tweeted a call for people to vote in large numbers for the development of the state.
“The last phase of the ballot for the Bihar assembly elections takes place today. I call on people to vote in large numbers and vote for the development of Bihar. People should ensure their participation in the great festival of democracy while keeping COVID-related precautions in mind, ”Nadda said tweeted.

Rajya Sabha MP Ahmad Ashfaque Karim votes at a polling station in Katihar. “I call on the citizens of the state to exercise their right to vote so that deserving candidates are elected,” he said, quoted by the ANI news agency.
Some of the prominent candidates in this phase are Niraj Kumar Singh of the BJP at Chhatapur Headquarters, cousin of actor Sushant Singh Rajput; Congress candidate in Bihariganj, Subhashini Sharad Yadav, daughter of former Union Minister Sharad Yadav; Janata Dal United’s candidate Sarairanjan, Vijay Kumar Choudhary, who is also the Speaker of the Bihar Assembly, and Suresh Kumar Sharma of BJP, the Minister of Urban Development of Muzaffarpur.
2.35 crore of voters are eligible to decide the fate of 1,204 candidates running in the third phase. The vote for the first phase took place on October 28 and for the second phase on November 3. The results will be published on November 10.
The vote is also taking place for the seat of Valmiki Nagar Lok Sabha, where a by-election was necessitated by the death of MP JD (U) Baidyanath Mahato.

People aged 80 and over and those with special needs were given the option of using postal voting. But most of them preferred to go to the voting booth to vote, Mr. Arora said.

“I call on everyone to participate in this festival of democracy and vote. In this election, Bihar will make a decision on its future. Nitish Ji is tired and he is unable to run the state,” said RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav at the ANI news agency.
Mr. Tejashwi has pledged 10 lakh jobs to young people in the state.
“Today is the third and final phase of voting in the Bihar Assembly elections. I ask all voters to participate in this sacred festival of democracy in greater numbers and to set a new voting record. And of course make sure you wear masks and maintain physical distance as well, ”PM Modi tweeted shortly after voting began in Phase Three.
