Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said Tuesday that 58 additional flights had been added to evacuate stranded Indians from the Gulf countries.

“58 additional flights have been added to evacuate stranded and distressed Indian citizens from the Gulf countries by June 30, 2020. As of now, the number of flights from the Gulf as part of phase 3 of the Vande mission Bharat has now increased from 107 to 165 initially planned, “said Mr. Puri. tweeted.

Earlier, he said that India has so far brought back nearly 70,000 people as part of the Vande Bharat mission launched to evacuate compatriots from abroad.

The third phase of the exercise will begin on June 11 and continue until June 30.
