Bhuj, Gujarat:

On Saturday, five border security force (BSF) jawans tested positive for a new coronavirus in Bhuj, Gujarat, an official said.

The five jawans of the 79th battalion of the BSF stationed in Bhuj had returned home on vacation and had tested positive for the coronavirus after their return to service, said the official of the district of Kutch.

“They were quarantined on their return and are now tested positive for the coronavirus,” he said.

The Kutch district also reported two other cases of COVID-19 during the day, he added.

Two workers from the port of Kandla near Gandhidham in the district were detected with COVID-19 when they arrived from Maharashtra.

“The two were in quarantine with 14 other people upon their return,” added the official.
