Simdega (Jharkhand):
Four Naxals belonging to the banned Popular Front for the Liberation of India (PLFI) group were arrested in the Simdega district of Jharkhand and weapons and ammunition were seized from their possession, police said on Monday.
Acting on a whistleblower, police personnel conducted a search operation in Kanarowan Forest in the Bano Police Station area on Sunday and arrested the four Naxals, Police Commissioner Shams Tabrez said.
Seeing the police, the Naxals attempted to flee but the staff chased and arrested them, the officer said.
A nationally made rifle and eight rounds were seized, he added.
