Three other people tested positive for COVID-19. (Representative)

New Delhi:

Three others, including an assistant secretary and a member of the multitasking service (MTS), working at the Ministry of Law, tested positive for COVID-19, officials said on Monday.

With this, the total number of positive COVID cases reported to the ministry rises to five, they said.

According to a ministry memorandum, the assistant secretary and the member of the MTS tested positive for the disease on June 5.

A (legal) assistant had tested positive for COVID-19 on June 3.

The MTS member and the assistant secretary had last come on June 3. The (legal) assistant last came to work on May 29.

Earlier this month, a joint secretary tested positive for the virus. Last month, another ministry official was found infected.

The Ministry of Law is located on the fourth floor of Shastri Bhawan, which also houses the offices of several central ministries and departments.
