Two people, including an assailant, were killed in a shootout in central Vienna, police said Monday evening.
Vienna police said in a Twitter message that there had been “six different shooting locations” with “one person dead” and “several injured”, as well as “a suspect shot by police”.
“Several suspects armed with rifles” were involved in the attack around 8 p.m. local time (9 p.m. GMT), police said.
