Karachi:
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will ground nearly 150 of its 426 pilots as part of an investigation into “questionable” licenses, a company spokesperson said.
The decision comes at a time when a first investigation into a PIA plane crash was presented to parliament by the country’s aviation minister, who also highlighted irregularities in the national carrier.
An Airbus A320 PIA crashed in the southern city of Karachi on May 22, killing all but two.
